Unlockables

Avatar Awards

By completing certain tasks, you can unlock items that can be worn by your XBOX360 avatar. When you unlock an item, you will receive a message that an avatar award has been unlocked. You may then go to the Customize Avatar menu and open up the Awards sub-menu, where you can find your unlocked items under the Red Dead Redemption header.

Easter Eggs

The Shawshank Redemption in Red Dead Redemption
To the east of Beecher's Hope you can easily spot a broken tree beside the road with a small weathered stone wall under it. This is also the location where the treasure is buried for level 9 of the Treasure Hunter challenge. The location all but identical to the location Morgan Freemans character goes to to collect his treasure in The Shawshank Redemption.

Area/Level Hints

Easy Horse Breaking
When you're breaking a horse, be it for a mission or your own personal amusement, to avoid getting thrown off the horse simply move the left analogue stick left and right repeatedly, ignoring what the game tells you to do. The horse will buck around a bit more than usual, but you'll end up breaking it successfully without the massive aggravation of doing it the standard way.
