Question from Ecko36

Why did Bungie take out dual wielding on reach?

How come u cant use 2 pistols instead of just 1

Tacere_Messor answered:

They did it to:

1. Be able to un-nerf most weapons.

2. They felt like it.

I think it was to make Halo more MLG they took out some dual wield in Halo 3 and all in ODST I thought it was pretty dumb but imagine you have a plasma rifle turn a corner and low and behold you get killed from a dual wielder.

And an excuse to get rid of the smg.

Demons_Fang answered:

Unlike the previous game you play as a spartan 3 instead of a spartan 2 spartan 3s are weaker (and cheaper) in every single way while spartan 2s can handle the kick of the weapons single handed spartan 3s cannot. just to give you and idea of the difference between the 2 spartans look at Jorge then any other member of noble team Jorge is a spartan 2 the rest are spartan 3s. ps the reason why they got the armor perks is to help them complete the mission. none of the spartan 3s are expected to survive a mission, thats why if they survived one or two they got put into special teams like noble team.
