Where is battles of prince of persia set is it before or after this game?

Is battles of prince of persia prequel to forgotten sands or is it set after it?

In Forgotten Sands, the Prince does not appear to be pursued by the Dahaka, who makes his first appearance in Warrior Within (2nd game made), but casually mentions Azad, from the Sands of TIme game (first made). He does not appear to have a tattoo on his arm.

In battles, the Prince gets the tattoo on his left arm that signifies he is a General, (first seen in Warrior Within). The Dahaka begins to appear shortly after that.

I believe from this, that the Forgotten Sands takes place before Battles, which seems to take place directly before Warrior Within. Of course, the absence of a tattoo could just be a change in visual style because the armor seems to be different in warrior within than in forgotten sands. Even between the Wii and X Box versions of Forgotten Sands.
