Darksiders 2
Sticks and Stones
Stonebite Location Guide
******************************************************************************
==============================================================================
Introduction
==============================================================================
Hello, my name is Aaron, and I shall be your tour guide through the lands of
Darksiders 2. This guide is meant to help a player along through the quest
"Stick and Stones." I got this game the day it came out, and being the
masochistic trophy hunter that I am, I wanted to get the platinum, which meant
completing this quest for the "The Secondary Adventure" trophy.
Unfortunately, as of the initial creation of this guide, there doesn't seem
to be many guides to finding these stones. There also does not seem to be any
videos for it either. There was one guide (see legal information below) but
I found that most of the descriptions were pretty vague, particularly if you
are not following it from the beginning of the game.
So I decided to write my own. This is my first guide, so I apologize if you
feel the format kind of...sucks.
Please read the legal information for where I got started with this guide.

You are free to reference this guide on other sites (provided you leave a

unless I deem otherwise in the future.
I would like to thank Haider Khan from the website SegmentNext. I initially
followed his guide, which can be found here:
http://segmentnext.com/2012/08/16/dark-siders-2-stones-of-power-mystics-
resistance-locations-guide/
I found about 70% of the stones on my own, but this guide helped me with the
ones I missed. I did enjoy the way it was ordered (it follows the story well)
and because of that, I will be using the same order (for the most part).
The order of the stones, as well as just general information of where the
stones are located is what I used from the SegmentNext guide. In this guide,
all of the descriptions of where the stones are located were written by me.

Getting Started (RSG1)
==============================================================================
The Sticks and Stones quest is available early in the game, but you need to be
able to access the western section of the Forge Lands (The Fjord). The quest
giver is a NPC construct named Blackroot, and he has his own symbol on the
map. Just go up and talk to him, and he'll give you a "Lure Stone" which
allows you to start collecting the stones.
There are 3 different types of Stones: Mystic, Power, and Resistance. There
are 34 Mystic, 25 Power, and 10 Resistance Stones in total. In order to
collect the stones, you need to destroy them, mostly using Redemption. You do
get a couple of other guns to use (briefly) in the third section of the game,
and you can use those as well to destroy any Stones you find in that
particular section.
==============================================================================
About this guide (some spoilers ahead) (ABT2)
==============================================================================
Since the quest takes you throughout almost all of the game, as you can
imagine there will be some minor spoilers. There will be some boss names,
some locations, some puzzle solutions, and some information about what is in
the area that the stone is located in. Please read at your own risk.
I refer to the cardinal directions a lot (N, E, S, W), and when I do, I'm
referring to them while looking at the map of the area from the status menu
(the Select button on default controls).
These descriptions were all written by me to the best of my abilities. It
may be a little more hard to follow if you have been gathering stones on your
own, and then using the guide to pick up the ones you missed. There are some
descriptions that tell you to look for a treasure chest, but if you've already
been in the area and grabbed the chest, the chest may not be there (this goes
for any enemy references as well). However, I did try my best to give other
information about the location.
Do keep in mind you will need to do the side quest "Book of the Dead" which
is given by Vulgrim. You will need to fully complete this quest to get access
to the final Death Tomb. I do not have the page locations listed here, with
the exception of one.
Well, I think that's it. Onto the guide!
==============================================================================
Stone Locations (following the story) (SLS3)
==============================================================================
This guide will follow the story from the beginning. Most are listed by area,
as well as when they are first available. There are some listed that you may
have early access to, but are listed later to group them up with other stones
in the area.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Forge Lands (FLS3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stone of Mystics #1
The Fjord: This first one is right next to Blackroot (the Sticks and Stones
quest-giver). It's just a little above him, and to the south on the cliff.
It's the small glowing blue rock.
Stone of Mystics #2
Shadow Gorge: Head north to the Shattered Forge entrance, and you should see
it to the northeast once you get to the broken bridge.
Stone of Mystics #3
Stonefather's Vale: Head to the opening in the northeast section. As you head
there, keep an eye to the cliffs on the east side, and you should spot it.
The stone is very close to a Book of the Dead page.
Stone of Mystics #4
Tri-stone: It's in the Maker's Forge, attached to the back of the forge
itself. Just go to the door that leads to the Foundry, and turn around.
It should be attached to the forge, near the top.
Stone of Mystics #5
Baneswood: In the northwest corner of Baneswood, there is a small building
that you can get into and climb up. Climb up until you reach a small alcove
with a treasure chest, and turn around. It should be on the wall opposite of
the chest (west wall, look for a big root).
Stone of Mystics #6
Baneswood: This stone is located in the northern edge of Baneswood, sort of
in between the building where Mystic Stone #5 was and the Nook. Look for
some pillars, and you should be able to see it in plain sight. It should be
right next to Maker's Chronicle (for another side quest).
Stone of Mystics #7
Baneswood: If you look on the map between the words "Baneswood" and "Charred
Pass" you'll see a section between them with no name. The stone is in the
southern part of this section. The stone is in a collapsed structure of sorts.
The structure kind of looks like a gazebo, and there is a chest in the
middle of it. The stone can be found on the inner side of the one broken
pillar (pillar is attached to the roof).
Stone of Mystics #8
Charred Pass: In the northeastern-most section of the Charred Pass there's a
ruined building. The building can be found fairly quickly if you enter the
Charred Pass from the north. The stone is located on the top floor of this
building, it should be fairly easy to spot.
Stone of Power #1
Charred Pass: There's a well in the northern section of the Charred Pass.
Swim into the water and you should see a tunnel going to an area with a
chest. Climb a wall here to get to the chest (you should see it as you climb).
Once you get to the chest, turn around and you should be able to see it on
the opposite wall (it can be kind of out of view, behind the wooden beam).
Stone of Mystics #9
Charred Pass: This is found right at the entrance to the path leading to
The Scar in The Charred Pass. It is on the "bottom" of a V shaped cliff
(it kind of juts out). If you're looking at the correct cliff, you should
see a volcano in the background right above it. The cliff is almost directly
south of the well where you found Power Stone #1. The stone should be easy
to spot.
Stone of Mystics #10
Charred Pass: In The Charred Pass, at the path leading to The Cauldron,
there is a ruined building to the south. Climb up this building and there's
a chest, and a small room to the west. The stone is in the small room, right
above a collapsed doorway.
Stone of Power #2
The Fjord: Go to the small dungeon that's located directly north of the
Drenchfort (it's the northern pathway on the map). This dungeon has no map
mark, and you can't do much in here right now, as it requires Soul Splitter
(it's also where you get a Book of the Dead page). After entering this
dungeon, turn around and look above the entrance. The stone should be above
the entrance, in a circle that kind of looks like an upside-down Omega sign.
Stone of Mystics #11
The Fjord: This is located in the pathway that leads to the Drenchfort.
In this pathway, there's kind of a small alcove that is squared-off
(it's kind of rectangular). If you're standing in this aclove, you should
see it plainly on a cliff to the north. The alcove is directly northeast of
the entrance to the Drenchfort, and if you're looking on your map, the cliff
the stone is located on kind of looks like a boot that is pointing south
(with the stone located kind of on its tip).
Stone of Mystics #12
Drenchfort: The stone is in the main room with the gigantic statue in the
middle of it. The stone itself is located on an archway above an aqueduct, on
the south side of the room, right in front of the southernmost door. It should
be in plain sight. If you're having trouble, look up on the south side of the
room to see a circle with a blue glyph in it, then pan your camera straight
down.
Stone of Mystics #13
Nook: This is in a room right after the area that has the fight with the
optional boss Bheithir. The room has a rolling ball, two elevators, two
levers to pull, and two movable beams/switches that you stand on. If you
enter this room from the east side, you'll see a climbable wall to the south.
Climb up and once you get to the top, look north, towards the circular
elevator/platform, and you should see the stone.
Stone of Mystics #14
Lost Temple: The stone is in the first large square room you come across.
In this room there is a skeleton key door and corruption crystals to the
north and south paths. It is also the room where you get introduced to
Construct Sentinels (floating guys) in a scene. To get to this stone,
the corruption crystals to the south path needs to be cleared. Once they
are clear, you'll see a pit. The stone is on the south wall of the pit.
Stone of Power #3
Lost Temple: Go through the dungeon normally until you are scaling the outside
walls of the temple (the area where you fight a bunch of prowlers/stalkers,
you can see a couple of waterfalls and cliffs in the background). The room
after that is a T shaped room with a rolling ball indent in the middle of it.
Climb the northern wall of this room, and once you reach the top you should
see a bomb next to a rolling ball. There's a small room to the east with a
Book of the Dead page in it. Look above the door to the small room, and you
should see the stone in the corner (it's partially outside).
Stone of Resistance #1
The Foundry: The stone is in the first room of the Foundry. The room is small
and is divided into two parts: water on the east side, lava on the west. Just
as you first enter this room, wait a bit and you should see some cauldrons
move along through the center of the room. The stone is located on one of
these cauldrons, and you may have to wait a bit to see it. Basically, as you
first enter the room (and are facing south) just look up at the cauldrons and
wait until you see it.
Stone of Mystics #15
Weeping Crag: Head to Vulgrim in this area. As you get closer to the hill
that leads up to him, look up to see a couple of his wind chime things, and
stop when you are underneath them. Once you stop, turn around (turning west)
and look up, and you should see the stone on an arch.
Stone of Power #4
Weeping Crag: The stone is in the area where you fight the optional boss
Gorewood, which is in the ruins. The path to Gorewood is almost directly below
the location of the Book of the Dead page, in a tunnel underwater. Once there
(and Gorewood is dead) look up at the cliffs to the east to see the stone.
The stone is somewhat underneath some tree roots, and fairly close to the
waterfall.
Stone of Power #5
Charred Pass: It's right outside the entrance to The Scar dungeon. When you're
at the door to The Scar, head east until you are standing next to some rocks.
Once there, turn north and look at the Deathgrip hook, then look straight up
above it. The stone should be in a section of destroyed pipe, just above the
hook.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kingdom of the Dead (KTD3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stone of Power #6
Lair of the Deposed King: When you first enter this dungeon, continue down the
staircase until you reach the very bottom. Go through the door at the bottom,
and you're in the right area if it has a Death Tomb door. Look above the Death
Tomb door and you can see the stone on the carving of a dragon's head.
Stone of Resistance #2
The Breach: Although the stone is in the Breach, you need to do a little bit
of extra work to get to it. First complete the Breach so you have access to
the southern part of the map, and head down to the Maw. Once you get to the
Maw, look to the west to see a large ruined building (directly west of
Sentinel's Gaze). Work your way up this building until you get to the top
where there will be a statue with a lantern projecting a green light. Rotate
the statue so it's pointing north (towards the Breach) and you'll see a
cutscene.
Head back to the Breach, and stay in the first room you enter (from the south
entrance). It's a rectangular room with statues on the east and west ends.
Behind the west statue, pick up a bomb and destroy the corruption directly
above the statue. Climb the walls to reach this area that you just cleared.
When you're on this western ledge, you'll see a railing that wraps around the
northwest corner. Grab onto it, and you should be able to see another railing
that's above you, partially out of view. Jump up to this railing and continue
up to reach the roof of this building.
Up on the roof, you should see another statue that you can rotate, and the
barricades should be down (rotate the statue south to get access to a chest in
the other building). Past the statue, in the eastern section of the roof,
there's a chest. Fairly close to, and above the chest, you should see the
stone attached to the north wall.
Stone of Power #7
The Maw: Head to the northwestern most section of the Maw, the area that kind
of looks like a hook on your map (it's about southeast of the word "Throne"
on the map). In this area, you can jump down a bit to get to a building.
You can't do much in this building at the moment, and you should be able to
see a portal as soon as you enter. As you enter, keep going straight until
you are standing on a pressure plate (there's two in here, stand on the south
one) and you should be facing a statue. Turn around so you're facing west,
and you should see the stone on the western wall, near the windows (that you
can't see anything out of).
Stone of Mystics #16
Serpent's Peak: Head to Vulgrim, and just when you reach the big wind chime
swaying in the air, turn around. Looking north, you should see the stone
attached to one of the stalactites on the ceiling.
Stone of Resistance #3
Eternal Throne: Head to the Serpent's Tome here (there are some stairs that
lead down south of Draven). When you can see the Tome, look around and you
can see two red cloths hanging from the wooden support beams. One is to the
north, and one is to the east, check the one to the east. The stone is right
next to the cloth, on a pillar. It should be easy to spot.
Stone of Mystics #17
Gilded Arena: This is the very first room of the area, in the stairwell. It's
right next to the entrance, and very obvious. Right before descending the
stairwell, there are two statues on the west and east sides. The stone is
attached to the east statue, on the hilt of the sword.
Stone of Mystics #18
Gilded Arena: The stone is in a room that is early on in the dungeon. It's on
the B2 level, on the eastern side. It's a rectangular shaped room, with chains
coming down from the ceiling, and some candles on the north wall. When you
enter the room for the very first time, you get ambushed by a lot of
skeletons. When you're in this room, look around at the ceiling, and you
should be able to spot the stone. It's almost directly in the middle,
attached to some metal bars.
Stone of Mystics #19
Gilded Arena: This one is pretty easy to spot as well. When you're in the
room where the first Animus Stone is (B2, western side), look at the west side
of the area, and you should see a couple of hanging cages. The stone is
attached to the northern cage, the one closer to the Animus Stone (the
skeleton in this cage is not moving).
Stone of Power #8
Gilded Arena: Right after grabbing the first Animus Stone, a barricade will
unlock in a previous room, granting you access to a narrow hallway that leads
to the east. In this hallway, you'll see a small alcove to the north (which
also has a Soul Arbiter hint in it). The stone is in this alcove, on the
ceiling, and should be easy to spot. It kind of looks like a skeleton is
holding it.
Stone of Mystics #20
The Maw: There is a gate at the southern end of the Maw (it is directly south
of the Phariseer's Tomb). As you approach the gate from the west, look up and
you should see the stone in one of the windows.
Stone of Mystics #21
Phariseer's Tomb: When you get to the elevator with the four switches, look
up and to the southeast. The stone is in the window (it's the window right
behind the floor 4 switch).
Stone of Power #9
Phariseer's Tomb: The stone is on the third floor, in the easternmost room.
To get to this room you need to loop around from the south first then do some
platforming. This is the room that allows you to get to the first floor. As
you first enter, you should see a large statue in the middle of the room. The
stone is right on the statue's face.
Stone of Power #10
The Maw: It's in the gate in the southern end of the Maw, directly south of
the Phariseer's Tomb, the same one where Stone of Mystics #20 was. Once you
are able to get through the gate, stand outside the eastern entrance. Look to
the gate and you should be able to climb up on top of the gate. Climb up and
pretty soon you'll get to a chest. When you're at the chest, turn south and
look up. The stone is attached to a metal beam that is jutting out from the
gate's wall.
Stone of Power #11
The Spine: Go to the southeastern corner of the Spine. In this area, there's
a tower that you can climb up (you can start on the south side of it).
Continue to climb until you are inside the tower, and start dropping down.
Drop down until you get to the floor with a chest (the map designates it as
floor 3); if you see a portal, you went too far. Get to the chest, and look
west. The stone is on the wall, right next to a torch.
Stone of Power #12
Judicator's Tomb: This stone is found early in the dungeon. The stone is
located in the third room of the dungeon, where there is an Interdiction
spot and a lever to the west, and you have to move a pillar to get to the
next room. As soon as you enter this room, look up and you should see the
stone on the bottom of a hanging cage.
Stone of Mystics #22
Judicator's Tomb: It's in the final room of the dungeon, where you get the
final soul and fight a Bone Keeper/Bone Giant. When you're standing in the
middle of this circular room, look up and to the southeast. The stone is
above one of the pillars, right next to the entrance archway.
Stone of Mystics #23
Psychameron: Head to the large room to the south, that has the area where you
fight the boss. As soon as you enter this room, before crossing the wooden
bridge, turn around and look above the door you came in, and you should see
the stone above it.
Stone of Resistance #4
Leviathan's Gorge: Head to the bridge that is just north of the Lair of the
Deposed King. Once you hit the southern end of the bridge, head west and you
should see a climbable wall that sticks out a bit. Climb this and eventually
you'll be under the bridge. Clear the corruption and continue until you reach
the end of this area, where there will be two pressure plates.
Use Soul Splitter to use both pressure plates, and shoot the bomb on the wall
to clear the corruption to the north. Head over to this cleared area, and
you'll see a one of the "superior" chests in front of a statue. Facing the
statue, turn around and look up into the southwest corner of this small
area you're in, where you will see the stone.
Stone of Power #13
Sentinel's Gaze: You have to get to the top floor of the building in the
center of this area. On the second level of the building, there is corruption
blocking your path to the third level. Clear this corruption (hint: use Soul
Splitter to pass bombs to yourself) and head up to the third level. Once
there, turn around and face the hole you just came from, and you should see
a statue. Look up, and you'll see the stone attached to the statue.
Stone of Mystics #24
Boneriven: Boneriven is a small optional area that's located in Sentinel's
Gaze. To get to it, you need to get to the top level of the building in
Sentinel's Gaze (refer to Stone of Power #13). Once there and cleared of
corruption, you should see a "superior" chest in the building. Right behind
this chest is a hole that you can drop down into, which leads to Boneriven.
As for the stone, just follow the pathway until you get to Floor 2. The area
you're looking for has two different entrances and has a ramp that winds
around. The stone is located on the tip of one of the rocks protruding from
the ground that are along the edge of the ramp. The rock you are looking for
is in the middle of the bend, and should be fairly easy to spot. If you need
more help, you should be able to spot it if you're standing near the small
alcove with a bomb in it.
Stone of Power #14
City of the Dead: Head to the western side of Floor 2. You need to get to the
room that has a regular lever to the south that moves an L shaped bridge, and
a beam lever to the north that you stand on (it also has an Etu-Goth relic in
it). To get to the stone, stand in the middle of the L shaped bridge and use
Soul Splitter. Have one form stand on the beam to the north, and then the
other use the lever to the south. Once the bridge has moved, use Deathgrip
on your statue to move onto the bridge. Then, head south to get to a connected
room with a chest in it (and maybe a couple of Wraiths). The stone is on the
wall closest to the chest (the west wall).
Stone of Resistance #5
City of the Dead: The stone is in an outside portion of the dungeon on the 3rd
floor, which is right after the timed platforming section (where the pit of
death rises up). As soon as you enter this area, look north and you should
see a tower. The stone is on the tower, near the top.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lostlight (LTL3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stone of Mystics #25
Lostlight: The stone is right above the Death Tomb door, just above the
dragon head. The Death Tomb is located west of the Crystal Spire.
Stone of Mystics #26
Crystal Spire: At the Serpent Tome, head straight west. When you reach the
big circle where you fought a battle, turn around and look south. There's a
statue that is holding a sword. The stone is on the sword, and you may need
to get closer to get a better view.
Stone of Mystics #27
Crystal Spire: At the Serpent Tome, head straight west. When you reach the
big circle where you fought a battle, turn around. This time, look north.
There's another statue holding a sword, and again the stone is on the sword.
It might be hard to see from here, so get a bit closer to it.
Stone of Power #15
The Crystal Spire: Take the elevator up to the upper level of the spire. As
you exit the elevator, head south around the wall, then look to the north to
see a statue. You're at the right section if there is a pit and a bomb to the
east. The stone is right above the statue's head.
Stone of Mystics #28
Earth: This is in the first section of Earth you get to, the area with the
portal back to the Crystal Spire. Head west until you're standing in the
circle in the middle of the courtyard. Once there, look north, and you should
see the stone attached to the corner of a building.
Stone of Mystics #29
Earth: It's in the large area where the first part of the Rod of Arafel is
(the Staff part). You should see some red corruption crystals along the north
wall, go stand next to them. Once there, look up and to the southwest corner
of the room, and you should see the stone close to some pipes.
Stone of Mystics #30
Earth: After acquiring the first part of the Rod, and talking to Uriel, she'll
open up the next section. The first part is just a short tunnel section. After
getting out of the tunnel, head south while keeping an eye to the building to
the west, and you should see the stone.
Stone of Resistance #6
Earth: On the way to get the second part of the Rod, you'll come to a large
circular section that you have to drop into (once you drop down there's a
boss fight). Stand on the edge, but don't drop down. Look to the north, and
you should see the stone attached to a building. It's not a big deal if you
drop down, it's just easy to spot from this location.
Stone of Power #16
Earth: Shortly after getting Stone of Resistance #6, and the first Noss fight,
you'll be in a tunnel. Follow the tunnel down until you get to some large red
corruption crystals blocking your path. Turn around (facing west) and you
should see a smaller tunnel section with a chest in it. The stone is on the
roof of this smaller section, attached to some pipes.
Stone of Mystics #31
Earth: This is in the final section, where you're looking for the third piece
of the Rod. In this area you'll get to a large bridge that leads north. As you
walk along this bridge, stop when you see the first giant hole on the west
side. Once you're there, move along the hole until you are on the northern
edge of it. At the northern edge, look to the south and you should see one
of the large support pillars. Pan the camera down to see the stone just above
the water, attached to the pillar.
Stone of Power #17
Earth: This is right after you get the final piece of the Rod, in the area
that looks kind of like a hotel. As you move through the hotel, you'll come
to a square shaped room that has two different floors (Floor 3 and Floor 2).
As you enter from Floor 3, move down the ramp made from rubble to Floor 2.
Once down on Floor 2, look up and to the northwest corner of the room, and
you should see the stone.
Stone of Mystics #32
Ivory Citadel: Early in the dungeon you'll come to a narrow corridor that
leads southeast, and to the second floor. Immediately upon getting to Floor 2,
wall run to the southeast to a small alcove with a chest. The stone is
opposite of the chest (to the northwest) on a window.
Stone of Mystics #33
Ivory Citadel: It's in the large circular area where you cleanse the eastern
waters. As you first enter this area, you'll come to a staircase that leads
to a room where you have to use Soul Splitter. When you get to the staircase,
stop and look up, you'll see the stone attached to the first arch above the
stairs.
Stone of Resistance #7
Ivory Citadel: Head to the room in the western section of the dungeon where
the ball that cleansed the waters is (there's a long staircase that leads up
to it, you also needed a skeleton key to get in). Once there, look to the
north and you should see the stone on the archway above the northern exit.
Stone of Power #18
Ivory Citadel: The stone is in the main room of the dungeon, where all the
waters need to be cleansed to proceed, but you can only see it from the 3rd
floor. So head to the 3rd floor via the western section, and you'll eventually
get back to the main room, but on a balcony. On this balcony you should see a
giant statue in the middle of the room. The stone is located on the statue's
chest.
Stone of Power #19
Ivory Citadel: Right after the fight with the Sycophants (the electricity
guys) you'll come to a switch that rotates a circular wall. Past this wall is
a ball that cleanses corruption. When you're standing next to the ball, turn
south to see another ball. Right above the second ball to the south, you can
see part of the stone in the distance. You can shoot it from the first ball.
Stone of Resistance #8
Ivory Citadel: Once you have cleared the corruption in all areas, head to the
main room and you'll have access to a small room to the north. This room has
a few portals in it, and you're supposed to use them to make your way to the
top. Once you reach the top level, look to the west and you should see a
small area with a portal on the ceiling, as well as a treasure chest. Use the
portal to get into this small area, and once you do look to the east. The
stone is attached to the upper part of the "window" that you can see out of
(or you can just look at the angel's corpse and pan the camera straight up).
Stone of Resistance #9
The Fjord: You have access to this stone once you have Voidwalker. Head to
Vulgrim in the Fjord. In the area behind him there's a portal, place a port
there. Scale the wall nearby to head up a floor, and you'll see a hole in the
wall. Look through this hole to see another portal. I had some difficulties
placing a port here, but I managed it while standing on the rubble right next
to the hole and doing some jump-shooting. It may take a few attempts, but it's
not terribly difficult.
Once the port has been placed, head back down to port into that room. Once
there, you should see a bomb. Look at the hole in the wall, and look right
above it to the find the stone.
There's also a Book of the Dead page you should pick up here. Take the bomb
and climb the block next to the hole so you can toss the bomb through the
hole, onto the corruption. Port back to the first room, head up, and claim
your page located in the corner.

Shadow's Edge (SWE3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stone of Power #20
The Black Stone: This is in the past, in the main room of the dungeon. Get to
the circular area where you fought a battle. Once you're there, look up and to
the north to see a big statue with multiple arms. The stone is on the
statue's stomach.
Stone of Resistance #10
The Black Stone: This is early on in the dungeon, when you're in the past. Go
to the east section of the dungeon, and look for a circular room (a shaft of
some sort) that you're supposed to climb up. At the bottom of this shaft,
there's a Deathgrip hook. Use Deathgrip on the hook, but once you're at the
handrail above it, drop down to get to a handrail below the Deathgrip hook.
Follow this handrail along and you'll come to a small hallway. In this
hallway, keep an eye to the ceiling, and you should see another Deathgrip
hook. If you took the Deathgrip hook that leads to a chest with the Dungeon
Map, you took the wrong one, so head back.
Once you use the Deathgrip hook in the hallway, you'll be in another small
room with a Boatman coin, and a Legendary Scythe to the east. If you're
looking at the Scythe, there are two statues to the north and south. Look at
the south statue, then look up at the ceiling. The stone is attached to a
part of the roof shaped like a diamond.
Stone of Power #21
The Black Stone: This is in the present, in the western section. Head over to
the time portal on the westernmost wall of the area. Then, head east to middle
path of the "E" shaped area. Once there, look to the northeast and you should
see the stone attached horizontally to the wall.
Stone of Power #22
The Black Stone: This is in the same area as Stone of Power #21, but in the
past. Take the time portal on the westernmost wall of the western section of
the dungeon. If this is your first time here, you will fight a Maelstrom as
soon as you get to the past. Once he's dead, head east to the "E" shaped area
(although it looks more like a "U" now). Face the circular area in the middle,
and turn south. The stone is again attached horizontally to the wall.
Stone of Power #23
Shadow's Edge: This is located inside the Death Tomb of Shadow's Edge (which
is northeast of Ostegoth). Once you enter the tomb, turn around and look at
the door. The stone is located just above the demon's head.
Stone of Power #24
Shadow's Edge: This is also located inside the Death Tomb of Shadow's Edge. As
you enter the tomb, look up and you should see some rocks protruding from the
ceiling that look like claws. The stone is attached to one of them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Soul Arbiter's Maze (SAM3)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These two are left for last, despite the fact that you can go to the Maze a
lot earlier. I think it should be kept for last because you have to travel
down to the 8th floor of the Maze, and if it's your first time here it can
get somewhat difficult (on Normal at least). You also may not have collected
enough Soul Arbiter Scrolls to find the exits. However, I will list the
directions the scrolls give in a further section if you want to know the
exits without collecting them.
Stone of Power #25
Soul Arbiter's Maze: This is located in the first room of the Maze, where
there are a bunch of Deathgrip hooks on the ceiling. Climb up the north wall
(I think it's north at least) and use the Deathgrip hooks to get to a switch
that you push in (it reveals some stuff to climb on). Once at the switch,
look up and to the west, and you should see the stone above a window.
Stone of Mystics #34
Soul Arbiter's Maze: This is on level 7, in the room that has the portal to
floor 8. Before taking the portal to floor 8, look to the ceiling, it's next
to some green candles that are upside-down. You should be able to spot it
right as you enter this room.

Before turning in the quest (possible glitch) (PGW4)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is simply meant as a message of caution, as I have not experienced it
myself. I read about this before I completed the quest, so I took a basic step
to make sure it didn't happen. It may not happen to you regardless, but if
you're worried, read below:
I have read on a couple of forums about the game potentially crashing once
you turn in this quest. It supposedly can happen if you try to turn in more
stones at the same time that you complete the quest.
To prevent it, just simply talk to Blackroot once, have him confirm that
the quest is completed, then leave.
Just to let you know, when you go finally have all the stones and go talk to
Blackroot, he will just tell you that he is "full"; there is not a
confirmation dialogue selection (in blue text) to complete the quest like
there is in other quests.
If you're worried about this and still want all the stat upgrades, just wait
until you only have one or two stones left, then turn in what you have.
However, I had no problems turning in stones after the quest officially
completed.

Soul Arbiter Scrolls (SAS5)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a short section dedicated to the directions that the Soul Arbiter Scrolls
give. There are also directions that lead to "secrets" which are just
treasure, but I feel like the only one worth mentioning is the one on level 5
(it has a legendary scythe, Black Demise). As far as I know, the other secret
treasures are just chests, but I'll admit I stopped looking at level 6 or 7.

Stone Combinations (STC6)
==============================================================================
I thought I should put in a section that tells you the stat upgrades you
receive for turning in different stone combinations. Unfortunately, it doesn't
seem like you can tell what stat upgrade you get until after you feed them
to Blackroot, so to figure them out on your own would waste your stones!
3 Mystic Stones: 5 Arcane
3 Power Stones: 5 Strength
3 Resistance Stones = 20 Resistance
2 Mystic + 1 Power = 2% Arcane Critical Chance
2 Mystic + 1 Resistance = 10% Arcane Critical Damage
2 Power + 1 Mystic = 2% Physical Critical Chance
2 Power + 1 Resistance = 10% Physical Critical Damage
2 Resistance + 1 Mystic = 20 Wrath
2 Resistance + 1 Power = 20 Defense
1 Mystic + 1 Power + 1 Resistance = 30 Health
