 1.  Introductional Stuff
===============================================================================

 Let me first make some points clear for using this guide, since it may be
 different than you excpected. There's no trophy list par se, I'm using another
 approach for that.

 Please note that I only use the word trophy in this guide, since I played the
 game for PS3. Of course it also works for the X-Box/PC version of the game. So
 just repleace every occurence of the word trophy with achievement in your head
 and you'll be finde.
 I won't provide any information about what level the trophy has or how much
 gamerscore you get, because I think that doesn't matter for this guide.

 Please also note that this guide doesn't cover any DLC trophies, since I don't
 own any of them. This is surely a part I should expand on.

 a.  Purpose of the guide
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 The purpose of this guide should be quite clear: Provide information to
 impress your friends, by getting the platinum trophy/1000G at this game.

 What may make this guide different from other guides is it's structure.
 In Dragon Age II many of the trophies (or better things you need to do for
 them) are related to specific quests at specific times of the game. Like the
 supplier trophy, where you have to collect all materials in the game. Many of
 them are only available at specific quests as you only have access to the
 areas they are in during those quests.
 So instead of listing every trophy and write how to get it I used another
 approach. First I provide the information on trophies that are relevant
 throughout each act. Then I'll give you the list of quests, where you have to
 meet the criterias for them in a kind of linear order, devided by the kind of
 quests (main, secondary, companion). Note that there are lots more quests in
 Dragon Age II that are not mentioned here. This is because they don't play a
 role for the trophies (as mostly sidequests do).

 Since showing the flow of quests is kind of difficult with only text, there's
 also a graphical version of this guide. If you want to access it, check out
 the "Get some fancy colours" section below.

 b.  Use the guide
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 The use of the guide is fairly easy. Each act section is devided by different
 sub-sections: Main quests, Secondary quests, Companion quests, locations).
 You can quickly jump to them by using those searchcodes including the act
 number at the beginning: AMQ, ASQ, ACQ, ALC. Where A stands for 1, 2 or 3
 depending on the act you're looking for.

 Each trophy relevant piece of information also has a distinct searchcode for
 quicker navigation. They are listed in the overview section. As the ones
 above you can combine them with an act number. For example: You want to find
 all materials during act 1, which are relevant for the supplier trophy. You
 can do this by searching the code 1MATERIAL. If you want to narrow your search
 and are interested in all Elfroot during act 2 you could also use the code
 2MATERIAL+Elfroot.

 To search in you browser use CTRL+F.

 c.  Notations

 One thing I should make clear is the notation of friendship and rivalry
 throughout the quests. It will look something like this

 This is the basic format. The first line starting with the # represents the
 situation in which friendship points will be gained. The number in parantheses
 represents the number of dialog wheels that have to show up.
 The following lines represent the choices that effect friendship points. There
 are three basic options: Dipl stands for the diplomatic option that's
 available to Hawke by the blue icon on the dialoge wheel. Humor represents the
 humourous or charmant option with the purple icon and Aggr represents the rude
 or aggressive option with a red icon. The actual dialouge line may be
 provided afterwards but that's not a must. They also may differ depending on
 other choices you made before.

 Right below this is the effect of the option on your party members. Note that
 you'll only gain those effects if the person is in you current party. The only
 exception for this are companion quests. Positive values denotes a gain of
 friendship, a negative one denotes a gain of rivalry.

 If there are only numbers then it represents the position of the choice on the
 wheel following this convention:

 4       1

 6       3

 Options in parantheses represent conditions that have to be met in order for
 this option to appear. The condition in the above example says (Humor Hawkw)
 which means that Hawke has to have an humorous character. Hawke can also be
 either aggressive or diplomatic. It depends on the number of choices you take
 for one side. If you mostly take aggressive option you'll have an aggressive
 Hawke.

 The information on friendship and rivalry are mostly based on entries from
 the Dragon Age wiki (http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/). I just sorted them
 and also confirmed them as far it's possible with one playthrough. Due to the
 complexity of dialog choices which depend on many things (character type,
 dialog type, companions, etc.) I couldn't confirm all information of course.
 Therefore this guide may not be complete at this section, but gives a quite
 good hint of what to do.

 d.  Get some fancy colours

 As mentioned in the foreword I actually made a graphical version of the guide
 which contains all the information given here. The only reason for the written
 one ist, that you can't publish it on gamefaqs this way.
 It's basically a flow chart diagram, which shows the different quests of each
 acts and what can be done in there. It also shows which quests unlocks which
 other one. It's quasi a compact version of this one.

 need a special viewer. If you don't have one, I suggest yEd. It can be
 directly launched from web and doesn't need installation. You can access it

 files with it to watch them.

 The reason why you can only download it, is that I don't own a web-server
 where I could publish it. So this is currently the only way. But I can assure

 2.  Act dependent trophies
===============================================================================

 So this is the cruical part of the guide. Let me first give you an overview of
 the trophies that can only be collected by completing tasks during different
 acts, so you basically know what to do.
 Trophies that are relevant for each act are listed in their respective
 section. There may be also further information on the overview trophies.
 Be sure to use the searcodes provided to jump quickly between the sections.

 a.  Overview                                                            AllAct
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 -- Friend / Rival / Great Minds Think Alike --
 Each character can either be a friend or a rival of Hawke. Whether it is
 depends on the choices Hawke makes during the game. Many decision result in
 either gaining friendship or rivalry with the members in your current pary,
 depending on their beliefs and desires. Anders for examples hates the templars
 so supporting them will lead to rivalry for him.
 You will have to max out the friendship and rivalry with any character the get
 the first 2 trophies. The easiest woul be Bethany or Carver. To gain the third
 trophy you'll have to have 4 characters on the same side at once, meaning
 either 4 friends or 4 rivals, combinations won't work. Bethany and Carver will
 leave at the end of act 1, but if you manages to max them out before and they
 didn't die (by not bringing them into the Deep Roads), they will count towards
 the required number, so you only have to get 3 more. Maxed out characters
 won't be effected by gains or losses, so you can choose whatever you want
 after you got them that far.
 To assure getting this trophy complete every companion quest you come along
 and select answers the characters possibly want to hear (or not if you want
 rivalry). It's also wise to have similary thinkink characters in the group, so
 you will gain points for them at the same time for the same direction.
 Gifts also can be found during the game, which will trigger companion quests
 and boost the friendship/rivalry of the characters. You have to give any of
 your companion at least one gift to unlock the "Gift Giver" trophy. Search for
 GIFT or GIFT+Companionname to see where to find them.
 This guide also provides information on gains and losses of friendship points
 during the quests. You will find them at the end of each quest and the writing
 shall be explained below. Search for FRIEND for friendship information of
 quests or FRIEND+Questname to jump to a specific quest or FRIEND+Companionname
 to jump to companion quests affecting only this character.

 Look at the "Notations" secion if you have troubles to decode what the lists
 mean.


 -- Flirtarious / Romantic --
 To get those trophies you have to start and complete a romance with any of
 those characters: Anders, Fenris Isabela or Merrill. Hawkes gender doesn't
 matter.
 First you first have to flirt with them choosing dialog options with a heart.
 Eventually the romance will start when the character kisses Hawke. Mostly it
 starts at act 2, but can also be done in act 1. Just collect up the
 friendship/rivalvry points with you character of choice during act 1.
 After the romance startet visit your estate during act 2. This will start a
 sex scene with your love. Being flirtarious there will keep the romance. After
 getting 50% of friendship or rivalry with this character a quest called
 "Questioning Beliefs" will unlock. You have to complete it.
 After gaining 100% friendship or rivalry there will be the quest "Questiong
 Beliefs" again during act 3 und you also have to finish it. To finally
 complete the romance you have to play near the final boss. When you arrive at
 the Gallows to prepare for the final battle in "The Last Straw" you have to
 talk to you companion which will then unlock the trophy.
 It's wise to know which you want to flirt beforehand. You can't finish two
 romances at ones and sometimes they lock each other out.

 -- I Got Your Back --
 This trophy requires you to upgrade an armor of one of your companies with all
 four available upgrades. They can be found during specific quests or at shops
 during the acts. Just find or buy them, they will be attached automatically.
 You only have to find all four pieces for one companion, but it's advisable to
 get them atleast for your main team, since they grant bonusses for them.
 Searchcode: ARMOR or ARMOR+Charactername (e.g. ARMOR+Aveline) for a specific
             character armor piece

 -- Master Craftsman --
 In order to unlock this trophy you have to first collect all available
 recipies from one of the craft trees (potions, poisons or runes). Potions are
 the easiest, there are only 6 and all can be aquired till the end of act 2.
 You then also need the required number of ressources for the recipies.
 Once you have both just create every item once in your house.
 Searchcode: RECIPE or RECIPE+(Potion/Poison/Rune) for a specific recipe

 -- Supplier --
 This is by far the most laborious trophy the get. It requires you to get all
 66 crafting ressources in one playthrough. They are scattered around many
 quests and places and some can be missed easily. Be sure to grab any available
 before exiting a place in a quest.
 Searchode: MATERIAL or MATERIAL+Materialname (e.g. MATERIAL+Elfroot) for a
            specific one

 -- Spelunker --
 This should possibly moved to the "Not mentionable" section, since there are a
 lot of caves counting towards this. What you have to do is to visit ten of
 them. Many quests require you to access one. So if you doing everything else,
 this one can't be missed.
 Searchcode: CAVE

 -- Archeologist / Chantry Historian --
 These two are trophies for which you have to find a number of codex entries
 throughout each act.
 Arcehologist requires you to find 3 of the 4 available codex entries of "The
 Three" during each act. Look at the specific act for further information.
 Searchdoe: THREE
 Chantry Historian is similar. There are a total of 4 entries which you have to
 find, where noone must be missed. 1 in act 1, 2 in act 2 and 1 in act 3. Look
 at the specific acts for further information.
 Searcode: CHANTRY

 -- Arcane Defender / Mage Hunter --
 There are a total of 7 quest where you can decide whether you side for the
 mages or the templars. You have to choose one side 5 times the access their
 trophy.
 Note that is possible to get both trophies in 1 playthrough if you use your
 savegames wisely. Look at the specific acts for further information.
 Searchcode: SIDE or SIDE+(Mages/Templars) for a specific side

 b.  Act I                                                                 ActI
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 -- Mercenary / Nefarious --
 After you arrive at Kirkwall early in the game you have to decide which quest
 you want to do in order to gain access to it. You either can help the soldiers
 or the thiefes. By completing the task you will unlock one of those trophies.
 By saving before accepting a quest and reloading it after completing it, you
 can gain both trophies in one playthrough.

 -- Birthright --
 This is a quest specific trophy you get for completing the same named quest.
 You'll get it early in act 1 so be sure not missing it.

 -- Financier --
 This can be unlocked by giving Bartrand the 50 souverings he needs for the
 expedition into the deep roads. Be sure not to accept the loan from Dougal in
 the quest "Friends in Low Places", because then it won't unlock.
 Note that you'll get all the money back later on, so you can work on the
 "Mogul" trophy as well.

 -- Mass Exodus --
 This will unlock after you reached Kirkwall with all 3 available character
 classes. You don't have to get inside of Kirkwall just leave Ferelden.

 information. You have to find evil tomes and destroy them.

 Be sure to start a romance with your choosen companion by selecting dialog
 options with a heart during conversations in companion quests.
 After the romance startet visit your estate during act 2. This will start a
 sex scene with your love. Being flirtarious there will keep the romance.
 After getting 50% of friendship or rivalry with this character a quest called
 "Questioning Beliefs" will unlock. You have to complete it.

 -- Arcane Defender / Mage Hunter --
 If you want to get both trophies in one playthrough make sure you decide for
 the side you decided once during act 1. This way you would have sided twice
 with each one. Then after ariving at the Chantry during the last quest of
 this act make a save file. Complete the act and the main quests of act 3 by
 siding with the same side three times. Then reload you savegame from act 2
 and do it again for the other side.

 -- A Worty Rival --
 You have to gain the respect for the Qunari leader to collect this trophy. It
 can be done in different ways in telling him specific things at specific
 situations. It can be easily done by completing all things during "Offered and
 Lost".

 At the ending quest of act 2 "Demands of the Qun" you'll end up at the Chantry

 Isabela left you party or came back. If she's back you have to fight for her

 If you haven't beaten it during act 2 there's also a chance to find a Vatteral
 during act 3. Therefor you have to complete the quest "A Murder of Crows". Be
 aware that this quest will only be available if you imported a savegame from
 Origins where Zevran is alive or used on of the standard stories at the
 beginning.

 -- Dragon Slayer --
 As in Origins you have to fight a High Dragon. It's available at The Bone Pit
 during act 3. You beat it to unlock this trophy.

 -- Demon Slayer --
 Your task is to find scrolls and then a hidden lair for each scroll. At this
 lair a fight against some demons will start. After finding all 3 scrolls and
 liars you have to find the final lair which is located in Darktown and fight
 Hybris.

 -- Arcane Defender / Mage Hunter --
 If you followed the method mentioned before you only have to complete the 3
 main quests of this act and side with the same side all the time. Then reload
 your savegame and do it again for the other side. Note that decicions during
 "The Last Straw" won't affect those trophies.

 -- Flirtarious / Romantic --
 Gain 100% friendship or rivalry with you chosen one. Then there'll be the
 quest "Questioning Beliefs" again, which you have to finish. At the final part
 of "The Last Straw" you'll end up at the Gallows preparing for the last battle
 to start. There you have to talk to your love to complete the romance.

 -- Crowning Glory --
 To get this trophy you have to side with the Templars at "The Last Straw" the
 very last quest of the game. It's done by agreeing to Meredith during the
 conversations. It will unlock at the epilogue of the game.

 3.  Act independant trophies                                             NoAct

 So that's for the critical trophies. From now on the trophies can be done at
 any time of the game.
 Trophies that may need some explanation are listed in this section.
 Everything else can be found in the next section, which are trophies you'll
 probably get by just playing the game. Look there if you miss them, for
 whatever reason.

 -- Tag Team --
 Each class has specific skill that will make an enemy either stagger(warrior),
 disoriented(rogue) or brittle(mage). They also have talents that will take
 advantages of those effects by increasing its attack power. Your task is to
 effect an enemy with one of those talents and then use the advantage talent on
 him. You will see if an enemy is affected by a small white icon beside his hp
 bar. They differ depending on the effect.
 So the easiest way to get this is to either wait for a companion to start a
 combo or initiate one by selecting him. Then complete the combo with the other
 class character.

 -- Weapon Master --
 To unlock this trophy you have to build all talents of any weapon tree of a
 warrior or a rogue. It doesn't matter if it's Hawke or a companion that does
 it. So the best way if you for some reason don't want to unlock all talents
 of your choosen weapon tree is to build up a companion you don't care about.

 -- Unstoppable --
 To unlock this trophy you have to finish any of the three acts without anyone
 in your party dying. It can basically be done in any act, but the first one
 is prefered. It's the longest, but also easiest of them.
 Be sure to save/load often. If you have trouble with this, change to easy
 difficulty, it won't effect the trophy.

 -- Mogul --
 You have to have 50 souverings or more in your purse to get this trophy. It's
 easier than it sounds. If you don't waste money during act 1 you'll probalbly
 have around 80 or 90 till the end of the act. You'll have to give Bartrand
 50 of them, but you'll get them back at the start of act 2. So there's a
 good chance that' you have it then.

 -- Epic --
 You either have to complete the game twice or import an Origins save game
 where you create your character. It doesn't matter how far you are at this
 save, anyone will be fine. So if you don't want to play this game twice rent
 Origins if you or a friend don't have it until you can save the first time.
 You surely can (and probably should) play the whole game.
