How do I get past final romulus lair?
Im trying to follow the cardinal in the catedral san pietro but dont know where to go-where do i start climbing from?

You don't climb to start the chase, you just go through the same gate he did. If you look around, you'll see one of the gates flashing - that's the one you use.
