Anyone noticed holding attack button with Hidden Blade?

If you hold attack when equiped with the hidden blade, the blade(s) come out but whats the meaning of this? Just for the nice :P?

It looks bad ass when walking around with them sticking out. Just don't do it when next to anyone (trust me).
