You can use the kinect and a normal controller but the kinect will only sense head movement to look at mirrors or corners. I actually really like it since I race from the in car view 90% of the time. They also make a new race wheel that reminds me of a Wii Remote Race Wheel. That has trigger so you can control your speed and brakes. But still use the kinect for head movement. There is a bit of lag but still a fun cheaper option then the full blown wheel. (PS. I did actually use that controller for 3 races at best buy)
