Devs have said they plan to add some more PvE and story content post-release, as well as more styles, a new weapon type (staff), and a few other things which will indirectly contribute to the PvE experience.

The main focus is the PvP gameplay, though, so if you aren't interested in the core mechanics, and aren't interested in facing off against other players, the content will be somewhat limited.

Did they actually confirm they are working on a new weapon type and its the staff? Because that is my all time favorite martial arts weapon and I would LOVE it if it was in the game!

It's 100% confirmed and there's concept art of the staff on PSN and at least 2 different PC store pages.

PvE content was done in 1 sitting

1 sitting :(

This was approximately 4-5 hours

Wish I bought pillars of eternity

However the game have amazing and unique mechanics

The art style is great

Fun to play but tough to master

The content is more towards PVP

To enjoy PVP you need to git gud

Either you master the steep learning curve of PVP, or enjoy eating dirt

I share your apprehension, I'm worried about the content drying up after beating what looks to be an extended tutorial/campaign to train you for multiplayer(like the first titanfall).

I'm leaning toward getting Path of Exile first and wait for this game to get more content before dipping in.

@Ombra

There are no plans for Path of Exile on the PS4 yet according to the developers.

You mean Pillars of Eternity?

Assuming you're talking about gaming on PS4 & not PC.

You'll basically be done with pve in a couple hours. You can refight the few bosses at the cost of grinding pvp matches. Currently the pvp is kinda soulsy. As in it's laggy, inconsistent and not particularly balanced.

If you're on the fence, I would wait to see what kind of support the game will receive. No knowing how much it might improve.
