Not to mention the one we have isnt really all that impressive. It knocks down good. But its definitely not the giant killer like past games in my opinion. In previous titles magnum shots wew crazy strong and you treated them the holy grail.

In 7 their rare but not nearly as good as before

Yeah, but in its place is the most powerful handgun in the series, which might as well be a magnum. :P

Yeah, but the RE7 Magnum is still superior to the Albert 01R even with enhanced rounds.

If any one is interested, I found an article about this particular style of magnum. I was wrong, it is NOT a Wildey. Here's a link to the article:

http://www.guns.com/2013/03/13/the-44-automag-pistol-the-forgotten-handcannon/

Yeah, it's called the Auto Mag, a .44 caliber semi-automatic magnum handgun. It's got more of a retro look to it than the Desert Eagle, and is about 10 years older.

I like it overall. But I would have preferred a revolver-type magnum, considering Biohazard 7's environments, atmosphere and classic Biohazard gameplay mechanics and elements.

semi-auto weapons automatically eject spent shell casings

Thank you! I did not know that.

Who gives a f*** if to a revolver?

Revolvers are manly guns! hear the noise and feel the power

A classic film, indeed. Harry Callahan's magnum is the Smith and Wesson M29, the very same magnum that Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar use in Biohazard 5.

There is a magnum. You have to spend ancient coins to get it.

I said "magnum revolver". Not "magnum semi-automatic".

Biohazard 2 was probably the last Biohazard game, not to have a revolver for a magnum.

RE4 had the Killer 7

I'm not an expert on guns, but aren't revolvers technically semi-automatic?

Ah I see. I thought that semi-automatic weapons just put the next bullet in the chamber without the need for c***ing the gun.

Revolvers basically have multiple chambers contained within a cylinder. When you pull the trigger it either rotates in a new chamber automatically or you have to rotate it yourself.

I was super disappointed when I bought the magnum because it wasn't a revolver.

same here

I don't really like the auto mag design

since they gave us a semi-auto I would have preferred the desert eagle design

It looks like it's based off the Wildey magnum handgun, what Bronson used in Death Wish 3:

It's a .44 AMC Auto Mag
