I've been at it for about 2 hours now. I'm hitting 98's and 99's (when I don't miss an input). I've played a few times on my PS2, and I've always gotten 100 out of 100. Is there any sort of delay on the PS3?

There has to be. I started a new game on my PS2 and nailed it on my 4th or 5th try.

Observational bias. For comparison, I've only ever managed the 100 nobles on PS3. There's not an inherent delay on PS3, but it's possible the a difference in framerate may make the difference.
I would prefer to be known as BlackWaltzTheThird, or just Waltz for short.

What do you get for it besides gil ? I always get to 96 or 97 on my 1st/2nd try and then stop after that.

You get 10,000 gil immediately IIRC, and then when you play as Steiner you can obtain a Moonstone.

Were playing from the disc or psn?

It seems ridiculous that I could only get 99 on the PS3, but almost immediately got 100 on the PS2.

I've played it using both, and got 100 nobles with both.

There is a *lot* of difficulty change in this minigame depending on what system you play on.

On the PS2 (system I first played it on) I get 100 virtually every time i get all of the button presses right, but on PS3 (with disc) I've never been able to do it. On the original PSX I think it is tough also...I tried playing the game via PSX emulator and was unable to do it normally, but then I switched over to the PAL bios and it was suddenly easy again.
