Hey guys,

Salutations from HeyDude (needle needle at Kodi).

Let's do a little tournament. During the nomination phase, each person may submit two Disney songs as nominees, and when the nomination phase closes, we will vote on the list of contenders generated by the nomination process. I'll keep the nomination process open until we get at least 8 songs, or until two days have passed, whichever is later -- unless we never get eight songs, in which case I'll consider this topic and by extension my own existence an abject failure. Anyway! The song doesn't have to come from an animated feature, although obviously that's where most Disney songs come from, but any Disney movie on this list that has a song is fine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Walt_Disney_Pictures_films

I nominate:
Be A Man (Mulan)
Never Had a Friend Like Me (Aladdin)

[Incoherent sounds of anger.]

Be A Man (Mulan)

I don't see any such song here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulan_%28soundtrack%29 Do you mean "I'll Make a Man out of You"?

Too bad Nala isn't around anymore; she's a veritable Disney addict.

I nominate "Chim Chim Cher-ee" from Mary Poppins and "Be Prepared" from The Lion King.

By the way, the convention is to use quotation marks rather than italics for the name of a song. Italics are used for movie titles, but admittedly, I tend not to do that myself. The general rule is that italics are used for the names of big things (movies, books, TV series, video games, albums, ships) and quotation marks are used for the names of small things (songs, short stories, TV episodes, chapters, essays).

Because I wanna, is basically why I did it, but I *was* able to cherry-pick some support.

I was hoping somebody would nominate a Tarzan song. You can't go wrong with Phil Collins.
