That transition happened last week here and I am not looking forward to the rapidly approaching time when it will be dark when I get to work and also dark again before I'm on my way home.

It's the reverse of living in a place where it stays light until 9:30 PM in the summer, I guess. But it doesn't mean I can't complain about it haha

I'm still a little wary of taking my ACs out. It was like a 30 degree swing between yesterday and today.
Willis, it seems like every other time you post, I need to look up a word that's in the OED or Urban Dictionary but not both.
