Earlier in the season I criticized Kaepernick for not having good enough pocket vision:

I felt like his success was a product of simple playcalling and 1-read systems.

But 2014 is a new year. He comes off as a an uneducated douche with his attitude in interviews and his tattoos. He really is a douche, but he is an intelligent douche, thats something people miss. The guy is very intelligent. I feel like he's got enough experience under his belt to make the appropriate leaps in his game. This year I felt like Harbaugh did a bad job of facilitating his growth. You need to give him a bigger burden and give him freedom to operate. Let him learn through mistakes.

I honestly felt like his vision and decision making improved towards the end of the season. He made 1 horrible decision against Seattle, the interception on the left sideline. The Sherman deflection was a good decision. It was down the sideline 1 on 1. In big games you have to be willing to take risks and accept that risks dont always pay off. I rather have a QB who has the balls to make that throw than a Peyton Manning who would be too conservative to make any big plays. Brady is a great example, he makes risky throws all the time at the end of games.

Ive been saying for a while, Wilson is the more polished of the two, but I except both of them to even out in year 3 of starting. Wilson is a better decision maker on when to run, when to throw, and where to throw. But Kaepernick has been getting better at this. Kaepernick is equally capable of epic plays like Wilson. Its something he'll get over time. Everyone gets caught up in the Sherman deflection but before that they had a 9 play 60 yard drive from the 22 yard line all the way up to the other 18. It was a 3 min time killing drive, and a TD wouldve won it. It was 1st down and they took a shot. He also lead a game winning drive against Arizona to end the season, and a 5 min, 14 play 65 yard game winning FG drive against the Packers.

The dude will be better, no doubt. Buy low on the Niners, I'm telling you guys, they're gonna win the Superbowl.

He's a complete ****ing douche, and his ass is as much charred as pass4td, I suspect thats why he's making dumb comments. But when it comes to work-ethic and studying, which is what it takes to get better, he's intelligent.

I'm hoping so. Niners looked really good to close the year out and nearly knocked out Seattle in Seattle. If they can minimize those late mistakes they'll be really good. Even the blowout losses early to the Colts and Seageese weren't as bad as the final score looked. Down 9 going into the 4th against the Hawks and then....beatdown city. Colts were only up a touchdown going into the 4th and then the screw-ups happened.

I think one thing he's gotta get over is that he's way too emotional. When things are good he's overly excited, when things are bad he's way too down. This is unlike guys like Flacco, Eli, Big Ben, Wilson who are cool as ice in any situation, they never get too high or too low. But again, all this comes with experience.

To summarize this topic: Trust in Harbaugh's QB developing skills, and trust in Kaepernick's intelligence. Just be patient and it will pay off.

He's immature, for sure; that doesn't necessarily mean he's stupid.

You definitely can't write him off yet, and I do think he improved as the year went on.
Either the worst great player or the best horrible player you'll ever meet.
