Finally. Another new list! And I like to say that I'm pretty impressed with the list. What do you think otherwise?

Didn't play too many arcade pinball games.

Though I did play this one a lot.

I LOVE the Trick or Treat table on Psycho Pinball. Great fun on that one, and the Vikings table on whatever the PS1 game was...good times.

Full Tilt! Pinball wasn't all that impressive to me honestly. It's interesting to note though that it's the Space Cadet table from that game that was included with Windows (and renamed 3D Pinball for Windows - Space Cadet) that jokrayz mentioned above. For many people, because this table was included with Windows, it was their only real exposure to pinball video games so they have some fond memories of it...however there were plenty of much better games available.

Also, to the anonymous comment who said this:

No Crash & Burn? The old Floppy Disk game? Not a complete Top 10 list.

The chances of you reading this are pretty slim, but just so you know, Crash & Burn wasn't an actual pinball game, it was one specific table that was included with Epic Pinball, and I explained in the list why Epic Pinball didn't make the cut.

The Vikings table was part of Pinball Illusions, that was ported to the PS1 with some 3D enhancements as True Pinball. This didn't make the cut because even though The Vikings table was good, the rest of the tables in the game were bland and unimpressive. In fact The Vikings table wasn't even initially included in the Amiga original, and was only added to the PC version. The Vikings table was the only good table in that game and that wasn't enough to elevate it into the top 10.

Really enjoyed the list. I made something similar about ten years ago, so it's fun to see some else's take.

Here's mine if anyone's interested. Very long-winded (each entry was originally it's own blog post), and much of the writing and humor make me cringe, but it is what it was.

Hey! Yeah funny story, I actually found your blog there while I was researching this list so yeah it's interesting to see someone's else's opinions. Obviously my list is restricted to just the 1990s so it doesn't include games like Pinball FX, Rollerball, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire, Metroid Prime Pinball and Sonic Pinball Party, but still interesting to see someone else's take.

I opted to restrict my list to just the 1990s because even in that single decade there was more than three dozen pinball games released which took me forever to sift through - if I'd gone for an "all time" list I think I would have been working on the list until retirement age lol.

I'm surprised Sonic Spinball made it on the list, I thought that game was universally hated. I mean I liked it even playing it years later and it's my favorite Sonic game

I was impressed with how well written and intelligent this list was compared to the usual quality of top 10 lists.

It's an odd balancing act sometimes. We have writers like White Pointer who take their lists seriously, keeping everything coherent and well-detailed with lots of information to elaborate their points (and even a witty barb or two).

On the other hand, we have list writers (I won't name anyone) who clearly rush their top tens, take no time to clean them up and check for spelling and grammar mistakes, contribute very thin or needlessly bloated explanations, and even sometimes completely go against their own set criteria.

So yeah, that's GameFAQs top tens in a nutshell. XD
