The violence isn't excessive, and it's all pretty overblown and (almost) entirely bloodless. But the movie itself focuses pretty heavily on melodrama and would be a bit emotionally intense for a seven year old.

It is your patriotic duty to take her to Man of Steel.

There's a little bit of swearing too. "dickhead" "a******" and "s***" are all said at least once.

Got it. Probably a bit too young, then. Thanks for the input.

I fail to understand how that is not appropriate for a seven year old unless she cme to the theater via a time machine from the 1700s.

There was a kid at the theater I went to, he was around 6-8 years old. I overheard him throughout the movie and I saw him exit the screening room. He looked happy as hell and was pretending to fly as he walked the hall.

Anyway, your decision is asinine.
... and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!' And I'll look down, and whisper 'No.'

There is a difference between 7 year old boys who actually like superheros and 7 year old girls. I would say 7 is too young for a pg13 movie for both. Its very boring at times with a lot of adult situations. Then there is the violence that I don't think 7 year olds should be watching.
