That's not fair. Why should I be stuck with the bare minimum while others can afford 2 gaming pcs? I deserve to have one of theirs.

Because you should have the right to life, but having a gaming PC is not a right.

What is your definition of life? I can have no property and still be alive. Scavenge for food.
It seems you're advocating for the disincentive to work. Eventually everyone will be living the bare minimum and we won't produce a thing.

Luxury items (e.g. PC's, TV's, good quality furniture, etc) would provide the incentive to work. People wouldn't be satisfied with just the bare minimum, hence there would still be an incentive. I'm literally just saying that everyone is entitled to the basics of food, water and shelter.

Interesting because after the industrial revolution, as a result of unfettered capitalism, the standard of living shot up to levels we could never imagine. Today we live the lifestyle far better than kings in queens centuries ago. Last I remember, gov't hasn't invented any such thing. Running water, heating, cars, electricity, and all personal luxuries have been a result from capitalism.

You would rather have the whole population work the swampy rice fields like the communists and socialist "utopias". Their Constitution grants them almost every right I have mentioned. The problem is they don't get it, because the golden goose, so to speak, has been strangled.

They exist in plenty of other economically-principled countries. The difference is in how available they are. We have good availability here in the States, but that doesn't mean there are enough jobs for everyone, nor are the logistics such that we can get every available worker to every available position. What do you propose should be done for those without access to sustainable work?

Those who cannot work SHOULD be on welfare. Notice how I am not against welfare. Rather, I am against entitlements to people who are capable to work, but choose not to.

When you leave an entitlement program in place, it continues to expand because more people will begin to rely on the program. And when government programs fail, there is tendency for people to say they want more government programs to fix the government programs that failed.

As far as availability, that is possible in part due to competition which drive prices and down, fosters innovation, and tries to get it in the hands of as many consumers as possible. All races and genders have access to the same products and services.

We need a government to confiscate all the money from all the greedy corporations in the name of equal outcome. Government should be the one who decides who gets what. Forget separation of powers, federalism and The Constitution. That all gets in the way. Because the world begins today baby!

How does that sound TC?
