Protip: Generally when a politician starts their response to a question with: "Well you know...", you know they're going to start feeding you bulls***.

So did you google what "word salad" means yet?

You don't have to act like the ACA is crap, but you still had tens of thousands dying every year because it isn't adequate enough coverage. You can acknowledge that it's better than what we had before, but that doesn't mean it has to be your default position just because Republicans attack it.

That's such a terrible excuse.

Perez cant simply say yes, even if he personally would support it, because he got to think about the donor money. If he openly goes out and say that the he and the party supports single payer, they wouldnt get any more money from big pharma. This is what it means to be a corporate democrat.
There's no "left" in the US. You have the lunatic right (R) and the right who won't come out of the closet (D).

How is it a terrible excuse? It's politics.

Its walking the fine line of not slamming the ACA while still slamming the ACA. Especially when the ACA is currently under attack. The last thing you want to do is hand the republicans a sound byte that is basically even the dems admitting the ACA is problematic.

Yeah, it's almost like a bunch of states didn't accept the Medicaid expansion or something.

Maybe wanna put some of the blame where it needs to be. And at the same time expecting the DNC chairman to act like the most significant Democratic legislation since the Johnson era sucks is a bit much

While he did state there is more work to do, he did not support or even signal single payer support.

"More work to be done" could mean more middle ground bulls*** that doesn't actually fix the problem of the healthcare system.

Don't feed me this horse s*** that we wouldn't have people dying due to lack of healthcare if the medicaid expansion was everywhere.

They don't have to "act" like anything. Just state facts that people do still die due to not being able to access healthcare, and even if it's less, it isn't acceptable.

Better than pretending Democrats could s*** in a cone and it'd be chocolate ice cream.
