Gun control isn't gonna solve USA's violence problem.

I saw a lot of people today saying Australia has gun control and has a murder rate of 1 per 100 k, but this people are basically using a small amount of data to justify great changes. The thing is, criminals and mad men can acquire weapons illegally. It's shocking, but it's true. Only by eliminating poverty and giving common people more opportunities of having better lives without becoming criminals you're gonna avoid violence. That's the difference between an Australia, an USA, and a Brazil.
The passion died.

Looking at the data gun control has either no or small effects on suicide / homicide rate.

Brazil is largely a third world country.

Gun control works phenominally well in Japan, which has one of the lowest murder rates of all countries. Being an industrial super power plus having a hegemonous society will do that.

Gun control also works well in Britain.

Then maybe the Brits should do something about the 8 million knife attacks per day.

yeah they should just get rid of all gun control in Brazil then, since it obviously isn't working. Allow everyone to stroll into their super markets to buy guns like you can in Walmarts. That should make things better.

High suicide rates are typical within East Asian countries like Singapore, China, Japan and Korea. Many parents there are putting an enormous pressure on their kids to excel in school and employers do likewise with their employees at work. Honour is still highly valued and most authorities are respected.
