Yeah no.....actual mexicans in mexico are worried about video games and anime....

Folks in Venezuela are eating out of dumpsters and making s*** bombs out of human s***.

Both countries do speak spanish......so there is that.....but then again alot of countries do....

you hit the nail in the head.... it's just bigotry once again.

And it makes sense I mean, the whole label of "hispanic" and "latino" was created to label spanish speakers and make sure they were not confused for "(real) white".

Different countries with different problems.

Venezuela's problem is that it is run by left-wing idiots.
Mexico's problem is that it is run by cartels and corporations.

Actually, Venezuela's problem is its overeliance on the oil economy, to the point that the oil industry was getting deficit-level subsidies while the government left the rest of the nation's economy to fend for itself. As a result, it is overreliant on imports from other countries. That, and its dictatorship problems, of course, which have only gotten worse after the death of Hugo Chavez.

Overrealiance on the oil industry has been working pretty damn well for countries like SA, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, UAE and Bahrain, don't you think?

Venezuela is sitting on 20% of the world's known reserves and isn't doing anything with it besides subsidizing the hell out of gas. Because the USA and Europe are bad trading partners or something.

And the assassination of domestic industries.

For example, Chávez nationalization of the Steel and Iron Industry, "Workers will join us to step forward, as a big engine, to build socialism".

That was 2008. By 2011 iron, steel and aluminum and all dropped output, up to 50%. By 2014 GM had stopped car production (after 6 decades in the country) citing lack of raw materials.

Look at non-oil trading generally:

And it's not like we don't know the long-term effects of this economic policy.

NK's entire GDP is less than Mark Zuckerberg's net worth lol. Really pathetic for a nation with 25m citizens and apparently having large rare earth material resources.

Pure irony that its currency is called won.

Well, it's not that they're a collapsing state.. it's that there's a ton of chaos and turmoil, which makes markets unstable, because of the competing drug gang factions controlling large swaths of southern mexico.

So, eh, it's give & take. The U.S. should really get involved and solve the problem down there.

The U.S. could also help big time by legalizing all drugs.

Yeah...you don't want to legalize all drugs because not all drugs are beneficial to the human body.

inb4 some Politics board crackpot comes in screaming about that being oppression somehow.

The problem with characterizing the issues of other countries in terms of left wing vs right wing is that the definitions of left and right wing in one country could be completely different in another country.

It also would be a bigger deal to mention that they pretty much have a dictatorship (or something close to one) while we have a democratic republic. That would seem to outweight any left wing vs right wing debate.
