Just thought I'd leave this here.

Tell me again why atheists are more likely to be Bible literalists than Christians. I honestly don't understand this.

Best way of "winning" against them on the internet. And at the end of the day, isn't that what counts?

If winning Internet arguments is all that matters, I guess so.

Okay, so the gospel's accounts didn't "literally" happen. How do you verify what parts did and didn't? How do you know any of it is true?

We can dissect the literalness of Jesus' existence all we want. Hell, did that on the history board recently through primary accounts not related to the gospels. However, the only thing we can ever confirm is the existence of the man.

As for the divine parts, well, that is a matter of faith. You either accept it as truth or not.
Every once in a while I realize the human race may be worth saving. Of course, then I come back here, but still, those are good moments. -Readyman

He went down to Hell to retrieve anyone who had died pre-Crucifixion and wanted Salvation.
God judges. We're just here to warn you. Jesus is the only way to salvation.
It's not your differing opinion. it's the arrogance with which you present it.

Welcome to the internet. I see you've stumbled upon the oldest joke we have.

And I'm not about to spend time looking up all these verses, verifying that they do say different things, and then explaining why, if necessary. Especially since all you had to do was copy and paste.

So I'll put as much effort into my answer as you did to your post:

Trolling and making valid arguments are not mutually exclusive things.
