This http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcionism like Gnosticism but not as complex.

Well, Gnostics did believe in the OT as a matter of history, their contention wasn't Yahweh's existence but they viewed Yahweh as an evil genocide-committing dickhead and they saw Jesus as someone who had came from another world to save everyone from Yahweh.

And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. [Luke 24:27]

Well, considering the New Testament directly quotes the Old Testament at least 230 times, and pretty much every theological concept in the New Testament derives its foundation from the Old Testament, I have a hard time understanding how one could believe in the NT without at least believing huge chunks of the OT.

Technically you are a christian if you believe in Christ.

The question was rather the origin of what they believe. What is a Christ[Messiah]?
What OT prophesies are related with the Messiah?

The only real qualification to be Christian is to believe Jesus is your savior.

So Muslims are Christians?
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" -Isaiah 6:8

Muslims are just grandsons of Abraham and Hagar. At one time they believed in The Christ. What happened since then I couldn't tell you.

Muslim is a religious designation not an ethnic one. Though Muhammad did claim to be an Ishmaelite.

I fully intend to respond. Need a little time though.
