We shut down at 1/4"

Because snow tire aren't required for winter, and nobody can drive here...

I hate wheeling in the snow and I hate other commuters when it snows.

I hate other commuters, period.
But I didn't put my hair in a pony tail for nothing so if I'm going home alone I'm not going at all.

Define big? We shut down at a chance of snow.

Where I live, a big snowfall is over two feet.

So what were you saying before?

I don’t not mind driving around town in fresh snow, but when it’s two days later, it’s all packed down into ice, and people think they can get out in their cars again. They drive too fast and spin out everywhere.

I've never seen a snow flake. How/ where/ what conditions are needed for snow flakes?

Seriously?

Precipitation, and 5C (40F).

Obviously if you want nice powder it needs to be below zero, but a flake that crosses the freezing point at 5000' elevation will still be a snowflake by 3000' elevation.

Had temps been proper and below freezing, I would have aired down to 2PSI and skipped the chains. But that slush isn't gripping rubber.
