Simply put, I haven't found many tutorials on how I'm supposed to install skins and sounds with Steampipe present.

So how does one install skins/sounds?

Download them off a site like gamebanana/facepunch mod emporiums, make a new folder in the custom folder and call it whatever you want like my_custom_stuff. Inside that folder you can place whatever folders the mod had. If the mod is bundled in a vpk, you don't have to put it in my_custom_stuff.

Its no longer under your username. Go to Steamapps, then common - > Team Fortress 2 -> Custom
Gamefaqs removed my signature because it had a naughty word.

Thanks, wouldn'tve realized it.

I think you need to make a "weapons" folder in the models folder, and put those files in there.
