Topic.

I have some sweet shoulders I would want to transmog onto my warrior at some point, but he has the heirloom shoulders. Would I be able to transmog onto that? And would it stay the same when I transferred it to another character?
Here, I thought we were friends. And now, you have a gun in my face.
I have to kill fast, and bullets too slow.

You can transmog heirlooms to look like other gear, but the same rules apply, such as same armor class and your ability to use them. My mage has all the heirlooms and they're transmogged to look like the Scarlet Crusader cloth set, from Doan. I don't think they keep their look when you mail them though.

The heirloom's appearance can be changed but they revert back if you mail them to another character.

I do believe that as long as they don't have level requirements (such as quest items) that the heirlooms will retain their transmog after you mail it. I haven't tried this yet and I've only heard of this from a friend. But it's still worth a try.

Watch out though, I foolishly mogged my shamans BOA hat without looking at the cost. It was 375g :-(

This holy cow. For seemingly no rhyme or reason, certain transmogrifications will be crazy expensive.

It's because they cost 1500g from a vendor or something.

its based on a % of vendor cost i believe, which is why the Cata heirlooms are so expensive(because they cost 1000g+ each).

All transmogs cost the item of the piece being transmogged. Your helm vendor for 375g, so they transmog for 375g. Your belt vendors for 37s, so it transmogs for 37s. Items with no vendor price, i.e. BOA shoulders will cost 1g.

Could you transmog a Mail item onto a Plate heirloom worn by a low level(ie when the item is listed as Mail) and keep it to 85
Chess is big in my family. One of my favorite things to do is fork my little sister while I'm mating her. -BTB
