Is it true hunters need 60-70 keybinds to play optimally?

I have 35ish keybinds I can hit easily. I was thinking of making a hunter but I don't want to play gimped.

No classes need 60-70 keybinds period.

Pre MOP I would have said warriors needed more keybinds that most as that was due to stance dancing and switching equipment for defensive cooldowns and pvp but I still used no where near 35+.

Are you sure you aren't using that many keybinds on your hunter just because you can? Looks to me you are over complicating it. Do you really use every single one of your hunter abilities that often?

The only hunter abilities that should really be keybinded/macroed are master's call and misdirection imo. Anything else is prettey much optional, sure I could keybind/macro trinks/cooldowns etc but I prefer having the option to control them more efficiently.

They need class awareness, keybinds just help with that.

Lets see, on a good fight, utilizing everything I need, I can see about 30+ different binds.

70 key binds from wich 35 are old quest items and eaten food.

hunters are also probably the only class in the game who need to macro every ability

I use around 60-70 binds as a shaman.
