So I have always been a huge renaissance and fantasy fan. I have over 400 hours in to Oblivion, 600+ in Skyrim, beaten every single Zelda game, 3200+ hours in Runescape, but never tried playing this LITERALLY for fear of getting too addicted and losing what little social life I already have. I don't care about that any more now though since my only friend (best friend of last 10 years) moved like 1700 miles away to Texas. I have been BORED AS **** for the last couple of months, and really need something fun to occupy my time. I have tried getting in to several new hobbies already (kayaking, fishing, spanish guitar) to no avail, I have read 4 books in the last two months, watched an entire 120 episode anime series, gotten in to like 3 on-going TV series, but they aren't enough to occupy me.

I'm just looking for reasons why or why not I should play this game..
Stop taking exactly what I'm saying and repeating it as if its exactly what I said because it is. -Cryptospuridium

You definitely won't get bored with WoW. I just started in January and I haven't touched another game since (which is pretty bad since I have a huge backlog now).

Ya haha, I was a train wreck before wow. Now I'm buying gold and homes, not getting black out drunk and doing insane amounts of blow.
Damn, GameFAQs is dying.

The only reason that should stop you from playing WoW is if you have trouble managing your time or priorities in life. If you're able to determine what is a sensible amount of time to play in a week then I don't see why WoW would ruin your social life.
