I still have the game, and would love to play it but I still have one problem. The game worked fine for me on my regular xbox. It had also worked on my 360 as well. Shortly after getting my 360 I had gotten serious sam 2. I played that on my xbox. Since then and still for over a year if I put serious sam in my xbox it says that it is a dvd and to plug in the dvd playback kit. If I put the disk in my 360 it tries to play it as a dvd and then it comes up a screen saying this is an XBox game. Remove the disk and put it in an xbox (or something to that effect).
I do remember reading on here or was it the SS2 board that SS2 had some kind of weird glitch to it. I don't remember the details but it apparently messes up your SS game data and if you put the SS disk in the disc gets messed up somehow.
Anyways, my Serious Sam disk is fine, maybe 1 or 2 minor scratches on it. I know its something crazy with the game disk itself, since it used to work fine on my xbox & my 360. I guess I eventually must buy another copy of the game. I actually was going to do that today when I was at the gamestop in the mall today. Unfortunately, neither one of the malls 2 gamestops had any copies of Serious Sam.
Anyways, does anyone know what that glitch is all about? Is there any way to fix the game disk? Or is that thought pretty much hopeless? And am I correct with the fact that I pretty much need to buy another copy of the game?
