Do you know if there's an easy way to share my FP maps with others? Having to remake them again on XBOX Live is not looking fun. I've got an xbox memory card, I'm planning to send a copy of it to the developers, or Dr Doak at least lol
Waiting for Mirrors Edge 2 and a new 'proper' Shining Force.
For Gamecube map saves, sharing is easy (USB memory card adapters have never been cheaper); on PS2, sort of easy (there are hardware devices as well as that xlink kai thing); on Xbox, no easy way I know of, I'm afraid, though some hardcore Xbox forum out there in webland somewhere might be able to help you, not sure. Maybe even the Xbox console forum here. I have the Xbox version of FP as well as the other 2, and I always thought it interesting about the warning you get when making a map without logging in to Xbox live (which I never had anyway). Stupid, stupid restriction if you ask me. It wasn't like that for PS2 was it?
One obvious and possibly final difference I can mention between TS2 mapmaking and FP mapmaking, that I somehow failed to mention before, is that in TS2 there is no glitching! The tile overlap exploit in FP made so many things possible in FP... sky walls, starting with weapon in hand, wonderful AI exploitation tricks... I could go on in great detail but won't. In TS2 you have none of that. I will view that as a plus. In TS2, the mapmaking is strictly limited to what the intent of the mapmaker was... simple, potentially hard-as-nails challenges using the tools at hand. In a sense, there is a purity about it. Here is a pretty basic story map I made over the past couple of weeks, as an example of what can still be done in the TS2 mapmaker:
