i used to rent the snes version all the time as a kid and i loved it. i bought the pc version years later but it just felt so watered down without the fun music and console interface and stuff, i dunno, it just wasn't the same. how does this version compare to the snes one?

This port is more faithful to the PC version than the SNES version was, i.e. it has the graphics, the scenarios, the hand tool, the more detailed query tool and the ability to poke Gaia from the PC version :) . The load times between each screen are a bit slower than in the SNES port, and on the audio side, it has background music, but different from the SNES port, and Gaia has voice actor that introduces you to each scenario.
