I thought most people *did* say NASA as 'nassa'? I mean yeah it is correctly N.A.S.A but I've honestly never heard anyone say it like the four letters are separate (even though they should be).

One thing everyone is ignoring though.... this is a game to show you how to nit Nintendo sweaters!
I hope 'James and Mike Mondays' (see: Youtube) cover this game or something, and indeed make a sweater :D

That's because NASA is an acronym and not a straight up abbrevation.

http://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/british/nasa
http://www.macmillandictionary.com/pronunciation/british/nasa
http://www.quora.com/Why-do-we-say-the-FBI-or-the-FAA-but-not-the-NASA

Just like AIDS, CD-ROM or NATO.
You don't pronounce those as letters.
FAQ is pretty commonly pronounced as an acronym too.

I say FAQ as the three separate letters, but NASA as a single word.... so I was possibly saying one of them wrong.

Oh well.

I say F-A-Q; however, I also say 'game-faks.' How a site's name is pronounced may be determined by the site's owners.

That being said, Boehner does not say 'Bay-ner,' it says 'bow-ner.' Just putting that out there.
The day after tomorrow shall be today!

I honestly never would have thought of saying Boehner as Bay-ner, were people doing that? Also had to look up who or what Boehner is, turns out it's a who.

Maybe it's just derived from a different language?

Any acronym can also be used as an abbreviation anyway. You're not wrong saying N-A-S-A. But just saying nasa is also right.

F-A-Q and "fak" is also an acronym.
If you believe in Jesus Christ, have accepted him as lord and savior, and are 100% proud, put this in your sig.

There was no need to be an ass, by the way.
