So uh, no sound at all and couldn't find troubleshooting about this anywhere. The music plays fine. So uh, help?

Real annoying because it pops-up every single time a sound was supposed to play

Legit version btw
I'm on Win 7

Did you install the game as an administrator, and run the game as an administrator? If you don't install it as an admin, the game can't copy certain files over to your hard drive.

Install the game as Admin? I'll try that, thanks

Nope, doesn't work. Even tried to copy all the files from the CD myself and it doesn't work either

Hmm. Did you uninstall the game completely first?

I'd suggest installing the game to c:/kana and staying away from the Program Files folder completely, and seeing if that helps.

Doesn't help either, with uninstalling first too.

Hmm, persistent little problem, isn't it? You could try this:

Hmm,

It might be something along the lines of "Fail to create the directory" or "Fail to copy the directory"

actually happened a few time, I'll try disabling UAC when I get home and trying again. I'm already using the uncensor patch heh

Thinking about it, the CD is acting really damn odd on this PC (acts normally on my laptop?), it recognize it as a random RW CD (the game's icon doesn't even appear), and if I enter the CD, everything is there, but "stuff was ready to be burned on the CD", so weird. I'll also try to install on the Laptop and then transferring files over.

Thanks for all the help

Well, if it doesn't work, it's time to set-up a virtual Machine with Windows ME

Hmm, yeah, I was going to suggest trying it on a different computer if all other options failed. The thing is, I'm running Win7 64-bit and had no problem at all installing the game (as an administrator), so I've been unable to replicate your problem. To me, that suggests something going on with your computer specifically, most likely the Windows settings or registry.

My bag of magic tricks is pretty much empty now, so if you still find yourself stymied, you could always ask on the official JAST forums:
