Are Yellow Comet Noetanks worth the trouble? The only CO with good ones is Kanbei, and Medium Tanks work fine anyways. Is that one square of movement worth it?

It's not just one square of movement that makes the Neotank better than the Mid Tank... They're a lot tougher against pretty much everything, and hit harder too. Neotanks are just about as much better than Mid Tanks as Mid Tanks are better than basic Tanks. Any mission where the enemy has Rockets, Artillery, Battlecopters, etc.- things that can take solid chunks out of your Mid Tanks- will be easier with a few Neotanks.

Obviously the cost makes using them in place of all other tanks prohibitive, but having a few for making key pushes into enemy territory or through clusters of enemies can make a tough mission a lot easier. I especially like to use them to spearhead attacks through narrow passes, backed by something with range (Artillery, Rockets, etc) and some Anti-Aircraft units (which are good against light vehicles and AWESOME against troops.)

The point is that Sensei's are terrible, you never need them with Sonja, and Kanbei does fine with Mid Tanks. I don't see what else could make them worth it than the movenent space. And the YC map mission Show Stopper is extremely annoying.

You don't need Neotanks for any faction. I'd say the one CO who gets the most mileage out of them would be Colin, since his are better than other COs' MD tanks for roughly the same cost.

But yeah, if you're having trouble with getting a Lab Map or the Lab mission, you can skip it without further consequences. I'd agree that Show Stopper is one of the more difficult missions out there. That's where the difficulty in the missions sort of starts to ramp up a bit. It's not so bad after you've survived the initial assault, though. Just tedious and slow going with lots of hidden enemy crap.

I would say Max and Jess have great Neotanks.

Neotanks are always sort of underwhelming. MD Tanks usually get the job done just fine if you need a bigger than regular tank. And for the same cost, you're pretty much always better off with a Bomber.

Yes, Max and Jess have stronger Neotanks, but this hardly matters. Their MD Tanks are stronger too. Max has better Bombers as well. They especially don't need to tech to Neo to be effective. It's overkill. As I said, only Colin (and yeah, Hachi) benefit from teching to Neo for cheap. Colin can buy something that is better than other COs' MD Tanks for roughly the same cost.
