Colours starts off good but by the end it's nothing but an annoyance. The last few levels are very poorly designed and the fact that the game repeats boss fights is also a bummer. The last fight is cool though.
That's a shame. The DS version is pretty good though. I'll still probably pick it up if Sega ever does a HD version on PSN or I get a Wii.
They talked about doing that for a while but I don't know what became of it. I'd suggest giving it a try if you can. It's not horrible by any means, it's just not as good as everyone makes it out to be. I thought Generations was light-years better by comparison.
I'm probably going to pick up a Wii at some point. I want to play MadWorld, ToS2, Colours and a couple of other games on it.
I'd rather Sega would make Shenmue 1&2 HD and Skies of Arcadia HD at some point. I'd also love it if they confirmed english releases for the Yakuza HD collection and Yakuza 5.
I'm pretty sure that Sega has a Shenmue HD in the pipeline. I remember reading it somewhere not that long ago. I think they're waiting on something in order to release it. It makes sense if you think about how many other game they've re-released over the past several years. Games that have a lot less clout and fan appreceation than Shenume have gotten the treatment. Seems like only a matter of time really.
*EDIT* Yeah here it is: http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/03/16/shenmue-hd-is-finished-claims-report
I knew I'd heard something about it. It sure would kick-ass as I never had a chance to finish them when I was younger. Figure I'd appreciate them more now that I'm older.
