That's my list.

Pretty much nailed it in my mind.

4 was awesome, but the repetitive bosses were a serious gripe I had with the game. They should have taken the time to refine the game. The combat was amazing and Nero was a really cool character.

3 was my favourite, this game ties with 1, and is followed closely by 4 and then (decently large gap) is two.

DmC3 > DmC > DmC4 > DmC1 > DmC2

DmC1 is too outdated at this point to be better than other games in the series. Yes it was an excellent game for the time and I've played it hundreds of times on every difficulty setting and unlocked everything, but it's time to move on.

DMC3 > DMC4 > DmC

DMC4's gameplay is wholly better in terms of combat, enemies, and bosses. Though, I acknowledge that DmC Dante has more weapons than Nero.

I loved the original series, and I could even live with the new Donte. What kills it is 30fps, it looked really choppy on the demo especially during cutscenes. Holding the shoulder buttons for weapon changes is annoying and feels like a videogame equivalent of squeezing your buttocks.

I will eventually own DmC but with it's flaws, it simply doesn't warrant the $60 price tag. Having to pay extra to play as Vergil will put it down to under $20 used before I bite.

That said, I'm glad the game is selling OK so hopefully the series continues on...(hopefully not the reboot though)

DMC3 was the best in almost every regard. DMC4 was far superior in the mechanics department.

If DMC3 had style switching and a less frustrating lock-on system then it would be on of my all time favorite games.
