This right here, takes a big, MEATY dump on DmC and its entire soundtrack. Seriously, the only deceant song in the whole soundtrack is How old is your soul, and maybe the Bob boss theme, the rest are just forgettable, BAD wubwub, or generic metal MIXED with wubwub. Its just... no. You need to have personality in your songs, you need to make them memorable and fitting with whats going on. People remember stuff like Public enemy for a reason, while stuff like..... um.... Combochrist track no.4 is easly forgotten.
After the almost genius soundtrack of DMC4 I expected better.
I loved the soundtrack, I wish they'd have used more than just the instrumental/mostly instrumental versions of the songs sometimes. The final boss theme, Empty was good. But I feel like No Redemption would've fit better.
It fits the style very well, in fact I liked it as much as I did DMC3. The entire concept of Limbo, when Dante is in it, is chaotic and destructive. Both of which the music in the game fits. Also it all sounds sorta clubby, which helps with some scenes like the intro. The vibrant colors also help with the music.
