Not sure if it ended up in the game or not, but I'll admit I liked that song from the second trailer. I think it's called Am I Human? Not the type of thing I'd normally listen to, but it's pretty catchy.
Everything else I heard was just ass. I know DMC3/4's lyrics were pretty silly, but "WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH ME WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH ME"? Come on.
I honestly like DmC's music more than the rest of the series.I can barely remember any of the music from DMC and DMC2,the only good theme from DMC3 was the theme for Vergil's second battle, and DMC4 had a few good songs, but it wasn't remarkable.
DMC typically has an eh soundtrack with a couple of great songs.
DmC drops to a bad soundtrack due to a mix of terrible wub songs and mostly forgettable other songs.
Though I have to laugh at Slayer. There are several games on NES and SNES whos OSTs wreck every single DMC including this one. If anyone hasn't been gaming very long, it'd likely be the one who doesn't know this.
I haven't listened to the other artist who did the soundtrack, mostly Combichrist. And from what I've heard, I really like the music. I haven't played through the game yet, sadly, so I can't completely judge the soundtrack(But I liked what I've heard so far).
However, the electronic beeps and boops may have been memorable, and maybe give you nostalgic feelings, but I definitely don't think you'd want to listen to them in any sort of setting that wasn't the game itself. At least these songs actually sound less monotone(Even from the WubWub-y song I heard in some gameplay) than the music that came from games made in yester-year.
But again, no judgments. We all have opinions and we're all entitled to them.
