1. let's clear some things. Backtracking was ALWAYS in DMC. In any of it. It wasn't as obvious because there weren't so clear structure to it.
2, No, it's no half game. it's just terribly designed game that have structure like FF XIII. Endless boring corridors with floating platforms and arenas.

Like someone said it's a Capcom staple. You'd be surprised to see how many people actually want a Boss Rush. Anyway your opening statement has already been destroyed. So you may now take your leave before you make yourself look like even more of a fool.
