Are you sure if that DMC game you're enjoying is actually any good or not? Find out if the game you're playing has any of these elements:

1. a FULL gauntlet and greave weapon combo
2. a Taunt button
3. an oddly floaty-looking running animation
4. Dante's Aerial Rave technique isn't mapped to Triangle by default
5. the main setting isn't a city

If your DMC game features all of these elements, congrats! It's one of the good ones!

And while the Temen ni Gru is set in a city, the city itself is featured in 2 levels, the rest is all Temen ni Gru.

If it has one or more dedicated dodge buttons it's not a good DMC.

You forgot cool one-liners that don't include obscenities.

DMC 2 didn't have a taunt button or a gauntlet and greave weapon......though, it was still enjoyable to me.
Newer isn't always better.
And I shall keep Dante's Force Edge polished and sharp till he comes back.
