The reason Capcom changed things up is because sales for the series were declining, then RE4 came along, sales and reviews skyrocketed.
Many people don't like the change, but many people did, feels like i'm back in 2005 sometimes -_-
Even with RE5, how many people complained about the lack of move and shoot? Especially on the 360 board, though it didn't bother me at all.
People have to face that it was a much needed change and I bet there would have been more whiners now if RE had stayed the same, it would have become very stale, as if weren't already. Don't judge before you have played the game!
Btw i'm a huge fan of the older Re games :)

dead space has a move and shoot mechanic and the character is slow but it still works if they could do it there why not here? i think is ironic that dead space has surpassed resident evil because when the first dead space came out it ripped off so many things from re4 and now its a better survival horror game
