I hate they lied to us. All we can do to free up disc space is delete game data from games we don't own anymore. Those of you that got rid of RE6 can reclaim those gb's. But it doesn't excuse Capcom being untruthful.
if the game can function without installing data in the background, i.e the game loads off disc when it cant allocate the space to install to then they didn't lie, the 8-10 meg save data would be the only 'required' space and thus would still be inline with advertising standards.
However if the data install is mandatory for the game to function correctly then I guess capcom are dirty cheatin liers!
Good practice however would have been to notify users of this behaviour on marketing materials and title cases
