Leon got bit in a few cutscenes and he never turned; is he immune?

Being bit by someone infected with the C-virus will not infect the victim; it's not like the T-virus. The infection is airborne (respiratory) in gas form.

Also keep in mind that throughout Leon's campaign, he encounters plenty of other people who were not infected. The only time plot armor really comes in is in the plane's cargo hold when the Lepo unleashes the gas in such close proximity to Leon and Helena. It spreads throughout the plane, yet doesn't infect those two who were much closer to it.

Leon is never bitten in any cutscene.

He gets bitten by Liz after she's finished munching on her father.

Is wrong. That's a quicktime event. One that you can break out of without being bit and, if you played with co-op, the player using Helena can shoot the zombie before it bites Leon or of course if you play Helena solo, you shoot the zombie off of Leon.

Leon never gets bit. Ever.

I wonder why none of the characters ever wear gas masks (not counting HUNK) when waltzing into one of these situations. They should know about airborne viral agents that could infect them.

REORC the Umberlla Main Characters knew to do this.
I really loved that game too bad Capcom didn't make a "Super Gold Edition."...
