This might be old news to some of you but I was just reading that thanks to The Last of Us, Capcom now knows what we want in a resident evil game. If they follow the TLOU example they cant go wrong as TLOU is one of the best games I ever played.

Capcom is even admitting they put too much into RE6 and it didn't turn out how they wanted. What a surprise!

1. It's Capcom. They won't do a thing they say.
2. What I want is a game in the pre-4 style.

Bulls***.

I don't think the series will ever be survival horror again like the classics. The RE games will always foremost be action.

I'd love if they could prove me wrong though.

If they follow The Last of Us they are going 100% in the wrong direction. That overrated game has nothing to do with survival horror or the roots of RE. REmake is the only direction that they can't go wrong with.

I like the atmosphere of The Last of Us and how the people seem almost real. It would be great if Capcom could do that, great atmosphere/people feeling real. Basically give us people we care about.

But agree, it should also go towards the direction of REmake at the same time. It would be great.

I stick by my belief that a game series can go towards any direction they want.
Whether they wanna go more action-oriented or more linear human drama, it's up to the ones in charge.

The only thing that matters are factors like good level design, balanced gameplay and functional controls.
My thoughts about Bioshock Infinite:

True, but if Capcom really wants to go back to its roots, REmake is he only answer, not Last f Us.
