This game does have some insanely long and boring boss fights

I disagree, in RE 4 when you had an actual fight with the bosses, you only fought them ONCE, killed them, moved on to the next, and DID feel a sense of accomplishment. Bitores and Salazaar did torment you a lot, via cutscene and whatnot, but once you fought them and won, it was over. It's little stuff like this that makes RE 4 one of the best in the series
