It may not be the best survival horror game of the resident evil series, in fact its poor in that regard..but at the end of the day it is fun as hell. I really cannot believe some people hate this game, I mean do these people even have a pulse? I know the game isn't RE in the classical sense but the game is fun..which quite frankly is probably the most important aspect of a game.
Would love to see a hybrid of survival horror and the fun factor of RE6..have the best of both worlds. Fun game play and engrossing story line.
Resident evil 4 was the last good one that still made me feel like I was playing a Resident Evil. Though the moments were scarce, there were a few times when I really didn't want to move forward because I was dreading the monstrosities I would have to fight. That dude in the cellar that goes all wolverine on you the moment you get close (which you ofcourse have to do) is a fine example. RE5 and 6 never gave me that feeling.
Revelations was a step in the right direction for resident evil. 4 was great but everything after was really hit and miss at best.
I always supported 5 because well it make some sense in the RE universe for them to go that direction. 6 was just weak not only as an RE game but as a TPS in general. Sure it had some moments and it is best played with friends. But it did not live up to any of the hype that capcom put out.
