he was going to "save" Garland?

I don't think he meant he was going to defeat him, I think it was more like him saying he was going to save him from the Cycle?

Or something.

WoL's basically saying he's gonna free all the warriors from the cycle, enemy or not. cuz just simply having cosmos or chaos winning would result in another cycle, so...

Also Garland's been there since like the first cycle, in fact he's practically chaos' advisor, and unlike wol, he remembers everything so yada yada free him from this eternal torment and all.
