You will be able to pick up Dark Souls.

Yes, I know this is probably obvious, but I've had people who didn't go and get a game they wanted at a midnight because it was technically for the release of a different game.

Stores have DaS in stock and will be allowed to sell it at the midnight.

Local Gamestop specifically has a midnight release for all three games. Going to go and count the numbers of people lining up for each game while I'm there, just for kicks.

I know it's dependent from store to store but, how busy do you all think this midnight opening will be?

You answered your own question there, bud. It depends on the location.

I have 2 Gamestops. The 1 I pre-ordered at is not holding a midnight party at all and offered to transfer my pre-order to the other but I would have to downgrade to the basic version.

*sigh*

I'll have to wait till the following day.

Let's say your GS is in Buffalo, NY.
You're probably going to have a weak midnight because your 2K reserves are low (they come out for NHL).

Let's say your GS is the one I work at in Brooklyn.
You're probably going to have a busy midnight because there's a good 300+ reserves for 2K.

Does your area love the NBA games? Are they big into non CoD shooters?
If you answer yes to either you'll probably have a normal 20 person midnight. If you have fanatics for either, you're looking at a 40+ midnight.

If you want to get a rough estimate, you could ask one of the supervisors or managers how many reserves they have for a title (if they'll tell you!), and predict that a quarter of their reserves will show for the midnight. That's pretty much how we predict our expected turnout

But like you said, it is very location dependent.

I never thought I'd be so happy for an NBA2k release.
