More specifically, its 2H R2. Is it any good in PvP, or is it just something else to backstab?

Using the sword at all in PvP is just asking to get backstabbed/parried.

It's an Artorias sword. It sucks for pvp. I think it's an exact clone of the cursed version minus a few less points for strength which means it sucks like the other 2. It just has a different move set which from what I've heard it makes it less useful in pvp.
Kill one man, You're a murderer. Kill 1,000 men, You're a king. Kill them all....and You're a god!

A few less points required in strength, the scaling means it does significantly more damage than the mere cursed one, and the r2's have swag.

It's by all accounts better than the cursed GSoA, the true one has utility at least. I know I'm making a build around it when the content comes to consoles.

Oh I'll most definitely be using it too. If anything, just because it's sexy.

Thanks for the info.

You're talking to someone who did a dregling run in Demon's Souls (no armor, broken sword/occasional mail breaker +10, and slave's shield) and won pvp with it.

Not to mention in fighting games I normally pick low-tier characters unknowingly and roll with it anyway.

Fighting with a handicap means even when you lose, you win for style. Go for it, dude.

At 30 STR and 18 DEX (and 18 STR/FTH just to use the thing, no scaling) with the maximum amount of humanity it will scale with (10 or so), it has 430-ish AR iirc, which is pretty ****ing decent in my book all things considering.

Too bad it looks like crêpe compared to the cursed/true versions, and the R2 is definitely begging for BS retribution.

Only 430? That puts it right up there with straight swords on a quality build. The Sunlight Straight Sword has 418 on a quality build.

^ well that stat spread is pretty poor. The Cursed Gsword is around the same with that spread.

At 27/40/18/18 2-handed you get 530+ AR.
