Dark Souls made a point to show how different it was from the current popular RPGs. This game's trailer didn't do that. Aside from white masks and a dragon with an extra eye, nothing was really unique to me. It just seemed like a normal, cinematic RPG that I'll probably eventually buy, find it boring, then trade it in at Gamestop for like a memory card or something lame.

I disliked the overt Skyrim vibe and the craptacular main armor.

But CGI trailers are meaningless and just there to wow dullards so w/e. I'm sure the game will be enjoyable even if they neuter it a little to draw in some lucrative fratboy cash.

The armor looks awesome guy

I don't care for it.

Agree to disagree...I wonder if they'll add weather effects to the game..it was raining I know its a cgi but it would be cool to see different weather effects in the game

I loved the trailer. The protagonists both died. It also looked on par if not darker than Demon's Souls.

Yes, that is what I saw in the CGI trailer. That is what they've decided to show you, that's what they want you to think is representative of their product. You didn't get any of that? You can't be that oblivious to how companies work. I just know when I saw Dark Souls' trailer, I got wet seeing all the coolass monsters. In Dark Souls 2's trailer, I didn't see much in the monster department, it was more character-focused, not monster-focused. I dig the Souls games for the monsters.

This just in:
Namco and From produce drastically different trailers.

From's are typically use in-game music, and Namco's typically feature rock/guitar songs and don't have much of a Souls vibe. Like 99% sure that Namco had a hand in that trailer.
