Yeah, but thankfully it doesn't really try to be a book or a movie. Just a game (but it kinda reminds of myths or epic poems like the Iliad or the Kalevala). Still, I think its lore could be mended into a good fantasy novel, provided it was done by someone like Gene Wolfe.
Even looking past the whole "vagueness for interpretation" bulls*** the fanboys love to tout, the lore isnt even that interesting. I could give a s*** about where Big Hat Logan came from and who those pyromancers are in Lost Izalith.
